HOW OUR TEAM EATS: WE ARE IIFYM!
Forget what you know about dieting. You have heard over and over that you have to "eat clean" to get lean. Have you heard that you have to eat 6 small meals, or remove whole food groups?
Have you tried cramming food into tiny containers or purchased diets from infomercials? You don't need any of that nonsense.
Did you also know that restrictive diets fail over 80% of the time? Have you ever lost weight then gained it back? Well you won't do that again. You now have the holy grail!!!
IIFYM is the acronym for "If It fits Your Macros" We count Protein, Carbs and Fats. You will have a set of macro numbers that you will hit each day. You can eat what you like! No food is off limits! No meal timing either. We eat when we are hungry!
Flexible Dieting/IIFYM/Macro Counting is not a diet. We use variety in our food choices. In prep we eat well and maintain a colorful, healthful mix of food. We have daily nutrition goals that must be met. We track our macros and we eat well!
IIFYM is NOT about eating pop tarts all day. It's eating for your physique goals with good nutrition and food that otherwise would not be on a restricted diet plan.
I want to tell you about my coaches who handed me a meal plan of
Turkey, chicken, fish and 12 cups of spinach a day. I had more health issues than you can imagine. I did not look better than I did on IIFYM. I was missing solid nutrition with that menu. I was bored, hungry and ready to binge at the end of my prep. BTW..my menu was the same menu my other team mates had too.
How could that be the best thing for my body? It wasn't.
Our food is wonderful. It's amazing and fun. All food has macros. Clean food, boxed food, processed food, beer, it all has macros. With IIFYM there is not deprivation, there is no need to binge because you are eating the food you love. You don't eat food you don't like! Sustainable yes.. and it gets results.
